Bhutan
The Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan is slowly emerging after centuries of isolation. It first opened to tourists in 1974 in much regulated manner upon the coronation of the previous monarch Jigme Singe Wangchuk. This mountain kingdom is perhaps the world's most exclusive destination.
