Alps in Nepal Trip Booking Terms & Conditions:

Please read carefully the details of Alps in Nepal “Terms & Conditions” before booking any trips with us. Alps in Nepal is a Nepal base adventure company and fully licensed and registered in various departments of the Government of Nepal.

Guest Agreement and Declaration

Trekking and climbing in the Himalayas cover some risks due to bad weather and some natural causes which is beyond our control. Although we try our level best to deal with any kinds of adverse situations, but still there are chances of accidents happening and in this you must agree. 
Please read the following conditions very carefully:

1. All bookings are made with Alps in Nepal Trekking Pvt.Ltd.  which is a registered trekking company here in Nepal. The registration number is 42002/063/64 and the office is located at Bansbari, Kathmandu, Nepal.

2. 25% of the total amount, a non-refundable booking deposit is required for every trip booking per person. Booking deposit can be made by bank transfer or by Credit Card (Visa or MasterCard). 

3. The balance of the payment, you can pay us upon arrival. 

4. If the payment is made by credit card then 3.5% service charge will be added to the total amount. This applies to all payments; deposits, final balances, trip extension and miscellaneous purchases. This charge is imposed by the credit card service provider here in Nepal. 

5. If you cancel your trip 30 days or less prior to trip departure date that will result in 50% trip cancellation charge of the total trip cost. This is for the room cancellation charge to the hotel we have booked for you and the domestic flight cancellation charge. On top of that we have to compensate the staff waiting for the trip. Since you have already paid 20% of the total trip cost, Alps in Nepal will ask you another 30% of the total trip cost in case of trip cancellation, 30 days or less prior to trip departure date. 

6.  No refunds will be made if you voluntarily leave a trip for any reason after the trip has begun. Refunds will be at the discretion of Alps in Nepal Trekking if you are involuntarily forced to leave a trip for any reason. No refunds will be made for any accommodation, transport, sightseeing, meals or services not utilized. 

7. If Alps in Nepal Trekking cancels a departure which is guaranteed to run due to reasons beyond our control (i.e. natural disasters, flight cancellation, consequences of strikes, industrial action, wars, riots, sickness, quarantine, government intervention, weather conditions, or other untoward occurrences), in this case we take the authority of diverting the trip, giving you the choice of the same value without any charge. After all your safety is our first priority. 

8. You must carry a valid passport when travelling with Alps in Nepal Trekking. Please ensure your passport is valid for 6 months beyond the duration of the trip. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in possession of the correct visas for the countries you are travelling to. Alps in Nepal Trekking cannot accept responsibility if you are refused entering to a country or places because you lack the correct visa documentation.

9. When booking the Alps in Nepal Trekking holidays you understand that Alps in Nepal Trekking runs adventure trips, where accommodation, transport, safety, hygiene, telecommunication facilities, level of infrastructure development and medical facilities are not the same that you are used to at home, or would find on a conventional holiday. 

10. You understand that during the course of the trip certain events may occur, including accident or illnesses in remote places without medical facilities, political instability and the forces of nature. You agree to assume all risks associated with the journey. Please make sure you get the insurance letter from you own country that has medical coverage and helicopter evacuation facilities. We do not advise you to get the insurance from Kathmandu as it is not that reliable. 

11. You acknowledge that travelling with Alps in Nepal trip requires a degree of flexibility, and understand that the trip route, accommodation and modes of transport are subject to change without prior notice due to local circumstances. In these cases your group leader will constantly communicate with you. After all your safety becomes our first priority. 

12. While travelling with Alps in Nepal Trekking you agree to accept the authority of the trip leader or local operator at all times. 

13. Alps in Nepal Trekking will not accept responsibility for any traveler who contravenes any law or regulation of any country visited.

14. Any medical conditions then please do inform Alps in Nepal office in advance. Before the trip it is important that you consult your doctor for vaccination and other medical requirements. 

15. Bad weather in mountain regions can cause domestic flight delays or cancellation, particularly in the Everest, Jomsom and Kanchenjunga regions in Nepal. In case of domestic flight cancellation at Kathmandu Airport or main in main cities, Alps in Nepal will meet your hotel accommodation on bed and breakfast basis. In other departing villages, in case of flight cancellation during your trip, full board accommodation is provided. If the trip duration exceeds, waiting for the flight, then you have to pay extra for each single day. Alps in Nepal office will advice you on this. In case of helicopter charter to avoid prolonging flight delays Alps in Nepal will charge you extra for this. 

16. When booking a trip with us, please make sure you understand what is involved in participating with Alps in Nepal Trekking in your chosen trip. Our priority will always be our clients and we wish you have a trip of a lifetime with Alps in Nepal family.
