DAY 01 : Arrive Mumbai
Our office representative will meet you at the airport and transfer to the hotel.
DAY 02 : In Mumbai
Visit Gateway of India and Prince of Wales Museum which is built in the Indo-Saracenic style. This museum is famous for its outstanding architecture and an imposing dome following the architectural styles of Western India of the 15th and 16th centuries. Visit Marine Drive, Hanging Gardens, also known as the Ferozeshah Mehta Garden.
If there is time left, one can visit Elephant Caves.
DAY 03 : Fly to Aurangabad
Arrive Aurangabad and visit Ellora. In the afternoon visit Ellora Caves in Verul which are very impressive. There are 34 caves in total.
DAY 04 : Auranagabad to Ajanta to Mandi (425 Kms)
Visit Ajanta Caves. Two and half hour drive from Aurangabad takes you to the world heritage site of Ajanta. The caves are built in a horseshoe shaped curve of the steep rocky gorge that rises above the river Waghore. Visit the Daulatabad Fort and the Chand Mahal.
DAY 05 : Mandu
Mandu, or Mandavgarh, is a ruined city in the Dhar district in the Malwa region. Mandu was the sub division of the Tarangagadh or Taranga kingdom. This fortress town on a rocky outcrop about 100 km (60 miles) from Indore is celebrated for its fine architecture.
DAY 06 : Mandu to Omkareshwar to Maheshwar to Indore ( round trip 250 kms)
DAY 07 : Indore to Ujjain to Bhopal city (275 Kms/ 6 hrs including s/s in Ujjain)
DAY 08 : Bhopal to Bhimbetka to Bhojpur to Bhopal (70 kms one way)
DAY 09 : Bhopal to Jhansi to Orchha
Will leave from Bhopal, and arrive Jhansi, Jhansi- the original walled city grew up around its stone fort, which crowns a neighbouring rock, and then leave for Orchha.
DAY 10 : Orchha to Khajuraho
After a 4-5 hours drive in an air-conditioned coach, arrive at Orchha; Visit this quaint village dispersed with palaces and temples erected by the Bundela rulers.
DAY 11 : Khajuraho to Varanasi (Flight)
Check in at hotel. Evening free for leisure.
Day 12 : Varanasi
In the morning enjoy boat ride in the river Ganga. Sightseeing of Varanasi includes visit to Bharat Mata Temple, Durga Temple (Monkey Temple, because of the presence of myraid of monkeys), Emperor Auranzeb's Mosque, the sacred Bull, the well of knowledge, Vishwanath Temple (Golden Temple since its covered with gold). In evening visit Sarnath and the famous Ashoka Pillar there. This pillar is made of polished sand stone whose lion capital has been adopted by the Republic of India as its state emblem.
Day 13 : Varanasi to Delhi
Fly Varanasi to Delhi and then flight to onward destination.
Day 14 : Delhi
Trip concludes (unless further plans are made).
