Sikkim, Darjeeling and Kalimpong Tours

Introduction:

Our connection tour to Sikkim, Darjeeling and Kalimpong make your trip the very best one. Sikkim is a small state of India cradled by the towering peaks of mighty Himalayas including Mount Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountain in the world. It offers you a rich flora, fauna, landscape, high peaks and of course friendly people. Gorgeously decorated Buddhist monasteries, Hindu temples with mystical sound of chants and mask dances in colorful costumes make it a memorable place for visitors.

Darjeeling, often called "Queen of Hill Stations" in India shares its northern boarder with Sikkim. This is a land of tea gardens- planted by the British centuries ago with a special railway affectionately called "Toy Train" covering a distance of 50 miles to NJP Railway Station in 8 hours. An exhilarating holiday resort from the days of the British colony in India, Darjeeling still maintains its Victorian grandeur.

Once the head quarter of the Bhutanese governor, Kalimpong retains its name for the rich culture, religion, fascinating scenic beauty and the wonderful flora and fauna. It is the ideal place for a quiet holiday, but not without colour or excitement. On the north are Deolo Hills, towering above the town at 5,590ft, to the south Durbindara Hills, while in the centre of the large market square where the locals assemble for trading. The richness of the landscape and culture cannot be rivaled elsewhere.
