Introduction:

This tour combines the best of Nepal experience in more elaborate way as you will be doing all the adventures and enriching yourself spiritually. If you are traveling to Nepal for the first time then this tour is the perfect introduction. From the city of the Living Goddess Kumari, a place for travellers to realize their dreams to the birthplace of Lord Gautam Buddha this tour defines itself as an amazing travel experience filled with fun, excitement and total satisfaction. Added to this are white water rafting for some adrenalin rush and venturing the Chitwan National Park tracing the very rare Royal Bengal Tiger and one-horned Rhinos. Get yourself on the lap of Machapuchare Peak and the Annapurnas and watch the days go by enjoying the great scenery of Phewa Lake.

 
Itinerary:

Day 1. In Kathmandu  
Arrive in Kathmandu. Your group leader or the office representative will meet you at the airport and will transfer you to Hotel. Remainder of the afternoon is at leisure. Arrangements will be made for the distribution of your kit bag, sleeping bag and down jacket at 5 pm.  
Welcome dinner is organized at 6:30 pm in one of the traditional Nepali restaurants and this is a great opportunity to get acquainted with the fellow group members before the trip.  
 
Day 2. Full day Sightseeing 
In the morning we explore Kathmandu on an organized sightseeing tour visiting Boudhanath, Pusupathi Nath and Syambunath, one of the biggest Buddhist shrines in the world, the most famous Hindu temple in the country and the melting pot of both the Buddhism and Hinduism. The early afternoon after having lunch we will visit Patan and Bhaktapur. Then we drive back to our hotel in Kathmandu. 
 
Day 3. Drive to the Rafting point
Drive to the rafting point for some adrenaline rush. Overnight in the river bank (Camping).
 
Day 4. Continue rafting and drive to Chitwan National Park
Rafting end point and drive to Chitwan National park for some jungle activities tracing the very rare Royal Bengal Tiger and one horned Rhinos. 
 
Day 5. In Chitwan
Full day jungle safari. You will be doing elephant safari, jungle walk, canoeing, cultural activities and many others.
 
Day 6. Drive to Lumbini
Lumbini is the place where Lord Buddha was born. It is also the place where he gained enlightenment and became famous. You will be visiting Lumbini Museum, International Research Institute and all the Buddhist shrines. 
 
Day 7. Drive to Tansen 
Today we are visiting the ancient hill town of Tansen. Major attractions here are the ancient culture, excellent mountain views, serene atmosphere and friendly people. Dhaka – the most popular hand woven cloth of Nepal comes from this region. You will have an opportunity to see the Rana buildings, Newari houses, carved windows and pagoda style temples. Visit the local market. 
 
Day 8. Drive to Pokhara
Visit the Shangri La of Nepal. With its crisp clean air, spectacular scenery and rich local culture makes Pokhara the unmatched city of Nepal. On your stay you will be visiting the Phewa Lake, Devi’s Fall, Gupteswor cave, Mahendra cave, Bat cave, Gurung Museum, Mountaineering museum, Seti Gorge and may others.  
 
Day 9. In Pokhara
Full day Sightseeing tour.
 
Day 10. Fly back to Kathmandu
A scenic mountain flight back to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel. Your Group Leader will collect the trek pack and then you are free to continue exploring this wonderful city, shop for souvenirs, get your photos processed and try out the various restaurants in Thamel. Your Group Leader will be happy to show you around and help you with your shopping. 
 
Day 11. Drive to Dhulikhel
After having breakfast we drive to Dhulikhel. Dhulikhel has been an important trading center on the ancient commercial route linking Nepal to Tibet. Since time immemorial, people of Nepal travel to Tibet to bring salt and gold. In the present days Dhulikhel is the administrative center of Kavrepalanchok District. We then drive to Panauti which is one of the oldest towns in Nepal, consisting of many temples till this day dating back to the 15th Century or earlier. From Panauti we drive to Nagarkot for the best vantage point to view the peaks from the Annapurnas to Everest, the peaks seem no more than a days walk away. Overnight at Nagarkot. 
 
Day 12. Visit Changunarayan and drive back to Kathmandu
Early morning sunrise from Nagarkot is regarded as the best option. Usually the weather is clear in the morning and you are able to see the mountain views more distinctly. We leave hotel after breakfast and take an hour drive to the oldest temple of the Kathmandu Valley, which is known as Changunarayan. The origin of this temple dates back to the fourth century and is included in the World Heritage Site. Changu Narayan is the temple of Vishnu, the preserver, in the village of Changu in Bhaktapur. The temple is believed to be sixteen hundred years old. It is embellished by the best examples of stone, wood and metal craft. On the struts of the two-tiered Changu Narayan Temple, are the ten incarnations of Narayan. A sixth- century stone statue shows the cosmic form of Vishnu. Garuda, half man and half bird, is the steed of Vishnu, and his life-sized statue kneels before the temple. After visiting the temple we drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel. 
 
Day 13. Trip concludes (Unless further plans are made) 
After breakfast we transfer you to the airport for your flight home.

 

The day-to-day schedule should be taken only as a general guide. A variety of factors, including adverse weather conditions, difficulty with transportation and politics can lead to enforced changes. Because of this it is not possible to guarantee that any of our holidays will run exactly according to the planned itinerary. The trip leader will make any changes, which are necessary.

 
 
NEPAL EXTENSIONS

There are a variety of interesting extensions you might choose to add on either before or after your trek. These options include:

Mount Everest Scenic Flight: An hour flight departs Kathmandu early morning and provides spectacular views of Mount Everest and the surrounding mountains.

You should budget around 300 rupees for each trek day. If you wish to tip the leader, please do this in addition to the crew's tip.)

Sanjay Gurung: Sanjay is an experienced trek leader who has been in this profession for last sixteen years. Besides trekking all over Nepal he has also led several trips to India and Tibet. His profound knowledge and easy going personality make him an ideal choice to lead treks for Alps in Nepal. 
 
Peter Chettri: Peter holds a very good sense of humour and adventurous spirit which has made him an asset to the company. He was born in Nepal and brought up in Sikkim. As a graduate in Arts, he has a good command over both spoken and written English. He has been leading treks with Alps in Nepal for four years. He has done a first aid training specialised in Acute Mountain Sickness. His excellent leadership has always earned a good reputation to the company. 
 
Ashim Subba:Ashim is a travel enthusiast who has always been keen on adventure. He went to the University in Calcutta and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce. Apart from being fluent in Nepali and English, he also speaks Japanese and has been involved in trekking for last two years. He has completed the first aid training including high altitude medicine. His expertness as a leader is one of the keys to our success.
