Introductory |
| This kind of trek involves up to five to six hours of walking a day. The altitude gain is not over four thousand meters. A reasonable level of fitness is required for this type of trek. |

| Introductory to Moderate |
| This is a combination of two grades with the emphasis being an introductory trek with several moderate stages. |

Moderate
|
| The average walking duration is six to eight hours on this trip. You will need a good level of fitness as it involves many ascents and descents. Walking on the hills with a rucksack on can be a good preparation for this kind of trek. |

| Moderate to Challenging |
| This involves a moderate grade with challenging stages. |

| Challenging |
| As this type of trek involves walks through remote areas for seven to eight hours at the average altitude of 5,500 meters, you will need a very good physical fitness and ability to climb steep uphill and downhill. On few occasions, like climbing a peak or crossing a pass, you might need to walk for ten hours a day. Hill walking, carrying eight kilogram (twenty pound) pack in variable weather condition can be a good preparation. |
